Hidcote Gardens
Another beautiful day...another National Trust property. At the end of last week the weather would be chilly and cloudy only to clear up and warm up in the afternoon. We made another trek to a National Trust property that we hadn't been to yet. The National Trust is a great opportunity to visit many different types of English properties from across the centuries. It is a great deal if you get the family pass!
We went to Hidcote Garden in Gloucestershire. It was about 30 miles away through some small and single-track roads but it was worth the drive. The Garden was created by the famous American Horticulturist, Lawrence Johnston, on a 300-acre estate that was purchased by her mother in 1907. The Garden is divided into "rooms." Each room has it's own character and design. The rooms are separated by hedges, walls, etc.
